Gearbox oil leak on prop seal

Featured Replies

During an oil change today we noticed a slight seeping from the seal to the prop shaft.

Looks fairly new.

Was planning to get the fluid changed very soon anyway.

Is this the correct seal?

Thanks

hi

I'd get changed as soon as, as the oil level is quite critical on the autobox

you can look on SNG Barratt, for part number but I'd phone with a vin, as they may be different from year to year and engine to engine

there not expensive and quite straight forward to change

cheers

Joe

Just looking at a photo of the drive shaft flange/coupling - How is the coupling removed to pop a new seal on the box? Is it floating and slides out?
