Anyone had problems with the headlight bulbs blowing ?

I've replaced 4 within a year .... both nearside & offside main beam going dead ....

Latest one was from an increased light level bulb ... all purchased from Halfords.

Getting fed up with this now and looking for LED alternative.

cheers

Jim

Are there any legal implications of running LED bulbs??

From what I have read it shouldn't pass an MOT but often does. Agreed if it works and passes MOT's then great. As long as they are not dazzling to other drivers.

What's involved in an upgrade to Xenon headlight units and bulbs ....

Had another headlight bulb blow over the weekend.

Hi Jim,

It's fairly straight forward, I did it on my old S-type, you have to drill a hole in the headlamp cover to allow the cables in and out but apart from that it's just a case of plugging the supplied cables together.

Cheers

Mike
