Hi Guys

Just changed my brake master cylinder on my s type 2.7 and bled the replacement master cylinder thoroughly but I still can't get full brake pressure unless I pump the peddle several times - leave a few seconds and no pressure at the peddle.

This would undoubtedly indicate air in the system but surely not the whole system.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Martyn

Hi Martyn,

My past experience is that its best to bleed the system all round to get best results and be sure that all air has been purged.

One other possibility though. How old was the brake fluid and did you replace it all?

Hydraulic fluid performance will fade over time.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Steve
