Headlight needed

Featured Replies

Seems my drivers side headlight on my 2004 2.0d s x type is literally falling apart so i need one asap, got one off good old ebay but it is worse than the one fitted so was refunded straight away

Ordered another one & an hour later got refunded, seller had checked it & found it to be broken :(

So not only do i have two refund orders waiting to be actually put back onto my card but i still don't have a headlight

Any leads to a reputable seller as i am reluctant to use ebay again but can't afford a new unit at this time

Any help is most appreciated

A couple of years ago I had headlight fittings broken - so rather than pay to have them replaced bit the bullet and had the whole lot fitted with modern spec lights - set me back about £350 but was well worth it - and has transformed the car as lights were pretty poor before. Just a thought, a sort of upgrade which might be worth looking into. Good luck. L

Hi - yes basically it was a package from a jag specialist (not main dealer) to upgrade to high spec lights. My techie is near Norwich but if you call round your local independent places you might find a similar offer. I can’t provide any technical details I’m afraid, more than it has been well worth it - about £350 all told, bearing in mind I would have had to had the light fittings replaced anyway.

@gainsy73 you say falling apart? do you mean the adjuster mechanism has failed?

if so it seems common as muck. im looking into these at somepoint, https://bit.ly/2xCYcXI (ebay link), for my floppy N/S Headlight.
