Hello could anyone help I need to find the identification marks on my jaguar my 2 I have bought for full restoration I have found one tag in boot by fuel pump looking for others. Would anybody also have an idea we’re I can enter this number to try to obtain full identity the seller ha lost all paperwork also no number plates on it thank you

Hi Martyn,

I also have a 1962 Mark 2.

Those early plates often had four numbers and two letters.

Sometimes the number plates were sold independently to someone with those initials.

If this happened to your car, you will probably have to re-register the vehicle in your name,

however you can ask for an  "age - related" number as this vehicle now falls into the

historical-interest classification.
