S Type oil pump replacement.

Hi All, I have a Jaguar S type 2.7 diesel 2007, I am considering changing the oil pump when I change the timing belt.

Has anybody tackled this job before? I have no problem with changing the belt but the oil pump looks more difficult. The work shop manual says that you need to remove the sump, but on You Tube I have seen the pump changed on a Land Rover Discovery with a similar engine where the sump was not removed. Any insight to this job would be much appreciated. Simon

I don't know if you have one of these --it does tell how to fit an oil pump to a 2.7 diesel on the outside but not an easy job ????
