Hi I'm Ricky and I have owned my 05 s type r for 18 months now and have to say its an incredible machine I've been lucky to have driven quite a few quick cars and owned a bmw435d for a couple of years with 300 +bhp but nothing prepares you for the thrust of the supercharged V8 if you catch it right it's astonishing. I've had the usually electrical problems with the wiring harness across the front of the car, insulation breaking down causing corrosion, fault messages if battery is not 100% charged and 18mpg,but even though can never trust it to run correctly or even start! Once underway I forgive it every thing! Anyway I'm just in the process of trying to replace the air conditioning condenser so wish me luck with what I'm about to find.....

Welcome to the Club, Ricky.

You seem to be enjoying the s type since you have had it --  I have enjoyed mine for over 6 years and agree that it is a wonderful machine.

I have the humble 2.7 Diesel, but with a lot of jactory fitted  optional extras.  I was in the Trough of Bowland last week, and it was surprisingly easy to deal with the twists and bends on the country lanes.

Carry on enjoying.

Regards,

Peter.
