Air con pipe from condenser to compressor

Featured Replies

My garage have reported a leak from this pipe which is dripping refrigerant. The pipe runs from the condenser across to the nearside then to the rear of the engine which I assume is where the compressor is. I cannot see how to get to the compressor without dismantling a lot of the engine. Is this pipe replacement a seriously expensive job? My garage have quoted £157 for an OEM pipe as no substitute available.

hi

what engine is it

compressor is usually at the front of the engine as its driven off the aux belt

if it goes to the rear of the engine then it goes through bulkhead to the heater matrix air con rad evaporator

have a look on sng site for part number and price of hose

can imagine that hose been a right pain to change aswell
