E Pace schreecing

Featured Replies

I've a new E Pace 20 model. Every morning as soon as I drive a few metres I get an awful screech from the front end. Can't determine if brakes or steering. Lasts for about 15 seconds.

Any suggestions?

Thanks

Couple of possibilities :-

If you are turning as you start off it may be something to do with the CV's or diff.

If it occurs just after you have started the engine and you have switched on a number of electrical loads, it may be alternator belt slip.

Another possibility is brake binding, best checked by a mechanic !

Thanks for this. Unfortunately the dealership seem unable to find the cause. Mind you if you don't know what your looking for and don't make an effort then nothing will be fixed.....you will see I'm not impressed with the dealership and their response to issues in a car just a few weeks old!
