Hi all,

Just wondering if anyone has fitted an Adamesh sports exhaust on their S Type? I had a 4 inch one on my old X Type and the difference was truly amazing, and it sounded superb. Just had one fitted to my S Type, a 3.5 inch exhaust and although it does sound nice when pushed, it sounds incredibly quiet when cruising alone. Wouldn't say i was disappointed, more surprised. Was wondering if the tone would improve with better induction?

Hi Mr Martin,

Sorry for late reply. I paid £499.99 for the exhaust and paid a young lad £20 to fit it at Kwik Fit. Truly brilliant. Purrs along at low revs with a pleasant growl at motorway speeds. But floor it (especially in Hindhead tunnel!) and it sounds pukka. Since doing this, fallen in love with the old Jag again. Now thinking of putting vents in the bonnet, grills over the lights and leather buckles on the bonnet edge as a homage to the old Coombe racing Mk II (mines british racing green with black spoke wheels). Do you  think it's taking things too far?.

Thanks Drago,

I think whatever makes you happy with your Jag. I would do it in small steps so that you can notice if you do a bit too much.

Have fun though!

I bet the Adamesh silencers run at a higher temperature and cut out the exhaust fog in freezing conditions. I am quite tempted to buy a set of these pipes in 2020 but one question, I hope they will not trigger noise testers on a trackday or the new roadside decibel meters when they go live?
