is putting a blanking plate on the 2.0d xtype a good thing or bad ???

Rod is quite correct.  I don't know why there are those who make those changes to exhaust systems when the Government will catch them in the end.

Hi yes not a good idea, better to take the Egr valve off and clean it and also the the plastic air intake, messy job but well worth it ,my x type now runs like a dream, regards Ricky
