Wynns EGR Cleaner.Hi I had the DPF left bank replaced on my S-type Jag 2.7 2007, Diesel (had the car from new), about two months ago lately the restricted mode comes on, and the car goes into limp mode, However if I leave the car over night it clears and the car drives normal, any idea what may be wrong ( I have tried manual regeneration which normally works ), but it has not on this occasion?

Hi Tyrone, and welcome to the club.

I also have an S type 2.7 diesel on a 2007 plate.

I have never had any trouble with the DPF but I did have both EGR valves replace a few months ago as they were failing.

I have used Wynns EGR cleaner but I have since found that Millers ECO plus diesel addition is a little better.  I also use premium fuel which a mechanic recommended years ago. I also try to do a long run once a month to give the DPF a good clean and a full regeneration.

Goo luck with yours,

Regards,

Peter.
