Traffic Alert Volume

I know I am probably being thick but I have read the manual and can't find the answer. When I get a traffic alert through the radio is is so quiet I can't hear it. The radio itself is fine.

Any bright ideas please?

On most alert systems , you adjust the volume to your preferred level whilst the broadcast is being relayed and then the alerts will play at that level going forward.  This would/could therefore be set to a different volume to the radio.
