Since buying my 2007 S Type in February, the sat nav has been the bane of my life. It takes the navigation details and provides the route with no problems, however, she refuses to talk to me.

Checked the on screen volume settings and ensured the mute was not engaged, nothing.

Yesterday having the Jaguar handbook out yet again, I firstly followed a piece of club advice regarding an errant sat nav and removed the disk, switched off, then on again and on instruction from the sat nav, re- inserted the disk. Nothing.

Then read in the manual there were touch screen icons, did this and found several buttons. Played around with these, then also pressed the talk, on button and She spoke,, "please follow map instructions."

Thought I'd cracked it, so set off to follow a set route. First junction.....nothing, She'd gone back into hibernation.

I have also restored all the settings, deleted way-points and destinations,..nothing.

Would be glad of any suggestions. In the meantime, my trusty Garmin rules supreme.

A bit of information, on a road trip to Spain and back, discovered the driver's seat was uncomfortable, due to saggy seats. This was rectified by having the seats re-upholstered with new foam fitted. Very pleasantly surprised with the cost at £60 a set. Bolton Car Interiors. 3 hour job. Well worth it.
