Hi all,   The pipes from the transmission to the radiator on my 2006 XK have failed.  Apparently there are no spares 'worldwide'  as jaguar are changing their supplier at the moment.  As a result the car has been off-road for 2 months.   My independent local jag garage sent them to a repairer firm who reported that jaguar had invented a new lower grade of aluminium that made them unrepairable given their very tight routing from the gearbox to the radiator.   They are now seeking second hand parts.

Is this a common problem and does anyone know a company who are making pattern pipes , or can copy the old ones?  I am in Greater London/Essex, but any source would be useful at this time.

As a Newbie in the club and forums I apologise if this thread has been covered already.   Thanks

Just to update this on 1st September, my garage has searched everywhere for these with no luck and the final hope is to find some careful dismantler.  It looks as if Jaguar may not bother to source these in the future and it could be a good opportunity for a small company to take on their production.   If anyone knows such a company who will produce small batches aluminium pipes bent to fit closely under and around the transmission/engine, please let me know.   I am getting a bit desperate now!!

I am (very!) happy to say that I will be picking up my repaired XK tomorrow.  A careful dismantler with them was finally found, which only leaves me with the big bill to pay.

However, if Jaguar don't restart stocking these pipes, it is a problem that other XK  owners are going to face in the future.  I hope some company can be found to take on the production of these pipe sets.

Now I am off to enjoy my wonderful car again...
