Hi all. I've been scanning my Jag with IDS recently, due to ABS issue and noticed two DTCs there: P1629 and P1632- both from alternator. I've checked the voltage while the car was running, over 14v, got brand new Bosch battery as well. What could be causing that? Any suggestions, solutions? Been reading somewhere that it could be battery wire but not sure if that's relevant as it was about X-type model.

They could be historical. As you have them recorded here, delete them and see if they reappear.

It says they are permanent codes

I have a 2001 X Type 3ltr and am showing a P1632 code and have tested the battery and charge whist the car is running and every thing seems OK. In my case the battery light comes on after I have started the car and then goes off when I accelerate and drive off, and then stays off. However the code comes up on my scanner. I have cleared all codes but but it returns. Anyone experienced this?
