Has anyone upgraded the in car entertainment system on an 09 era XFR. Want to get a Spotify compatible more modern system in my XFR but seeing mixed reports that there may not be facias to fit with a lot of the systems out there

I have a bluetooth plug in device in my old SLK, that allows me to use the phone and play amazon music via the original system through my phone. Was about 15 pound of amazon, lot cheaper that replacing unit. From memory different options to plug it in.

I also use a little Bluetooth gadget powered by the cigarette lighter and with a 3.5mm audio jack that I connect into the aux port with a jack-to-jack lead. Works fine.

Hi Darren. I have a XFS 2011. Any chance you could give me the Amazon link for the bluetooth device?

Hi

Personally I would not entertain changing the system. (see what I did there!).

The electronics on these cars are very interconnected and I would be frightened to death of bricking the car. As others have said a much safer option is to look at using access via aux sockets or even one of those FM tramsmitters you could attach to your phones headphone socket .
