New Member - Old Problems

Hi my name is Paul, I am an exp pat from the UK now living in South Carolina in the USA.  I have two Jags, old (1997 Xj6) and new (F Pace R Sport 2018).  The issues I have been having though are with the XJ.  Well, I mean I have had several but at the moment I have a starting issue.  Have had alternator and starter replaced, but now having issues again.  I saw a lot of posts on forums, various sites, talking about one of the many bolts securing the power cable from the boot as a possible source.  I have located some of these, but there are a lot, apparently.  Does anyone have pics of where these are?  Or even just the ones in the engine compartment?  Any help appreciated as I am not the best at car DIY.  Thanks!

Welcome to the club, Paul.

I guess you are having a great time with you Jaguars.

I am not an expert with the vagaries of the mechanical bits of cars. — an adjustable spanner and a lump hammers are still my tool box —  but there are many members who will assist.

Regards,

Peter.
