I have a 2013 XFR, several times now I have found quite a bit of water collected in the spare wheel well, can anyone give me advice on how the water gets in and how to stop this please ???

Hi

think its quite common on the xf's

The vents are either side of the boot, roughly positioned under the light clusters and they are there to allow the air pressure out as you close a door for instance.

I have read of previous occurrences of water in the boot caused by these vents coming dislodged.

Bumper off job I believe to rectify.

it was on a jaguar service bulletin

cheers

Hi Joe thanks for your reply, I’ll go and get that looked at as there are too many electrics in there which could become a problem if allowed to develop. Thanks again, Ian

Hi Ian I had same problem with my xf  and I cured it with a new boot seal ,regards Dan

Dont leave it, as you rightly say too many electrics in the boot, can cause mayhem sadly 😔
