XF Estate boot sticking

Featured Replies

Recent new owner so bit dissolutioned to find boot lid sticking. Will close but not completely  then clicks as to open but will not unless manually forced.

Any suggestions, is it a garage fix?

Hi John....welcome to the Club

Sounds like the boot latch (part that attaches to the lower sill area of the boot where the latch attaches to) is misaligned.

If you can loosen the fasteners and move slightly to see if this makes a difference?

I had an issue with my Sportbrakes tailgate not aligned properly. It turned out to be the N/S hinge plate bolts had come loose. Tightened them up and all sorted. Worth checking these, just try them with your fingers and if they move just tighten them up. Extension bar and socket to suit, can't remember the size, sorry
