Corrosion to rear discs!

Featured Replies

OK all you F Pace owners out there, I’ve just sent an LBA, Letter Before Action, to the Main JLR Dealer who sold me an 18 month old  F Pace that had  pitting and corrosion on the rear discs at 12400 miles. I’m fed up with the appalling response from both JLR and the Dealer in not accepting that it’s a Warranty issue. The fact that corrosion has been ‘allowed’ to exist and not abraded on the first application of the brakes,  and the undeniable fact that the pads  are not making full face contact with the discs as designed is evidence in itself of some sort of malfunction – and I intend pursuing this through the Courts under the Consumer Rights Act with reference to durability. So I’m asking for all you F Pace owners who have vehicles that have had this issue, whether resolved under Warranty or denied as a  justifiable claim, to private message me with details. Model, age, mileage, advice or contributory payment received from JLR, resolved under warranty, or denied etc. etc.

It's about time this issue was more widely discussed!

Your co-operation is appreciated. Regards,
