Automatic gear shift head broken

Featured Replies

Need a little advice on what I'm hoping will be an easy fix.

I have an automatic 08 x-type estate, this morning the button on the shifter popped off as well as the spring behind it. Now the shifter is still moving up and down from park/drive/reverse etc but I don't want to leave it like this. Does anyone know if its possible to replace the head? I can only find information on manual gear stick heads, which obviously doesn't apply to my problem. Are there after market heads or is this a jaguar only parts situation that needs to be done with some special jaguar equipment? Because that would be just my luck.

I feel like it should be an easy fix, but I'm usually wrong 🤣

Any help or pointers in the direction will be helpful
