Charging red light keeps appearing.

Garage has renewed the Alternator and Alternator belt tensioner but when other electrical items are required such as heater lights etc the red light appears. Can anyone help please

hi

still sounds like a dodgy alternator

you need a meter and check the battery voltage while the engine is running, should be 13volts to 14.5volts

if it drops with the lights on to around 12 volts, then the alternator is duff

if your with the AA you could get them out free and they will check alternator and battery and tell you wha up
