I had it where it suddenly  dropped to minimum  and low fuel warning light came even though I had over half tank of fuel, need a new sender unit

Hi.

I had this problem, but a quick look on Youtube found a video about a connector in the fuel tank. Under the back seat is the cover for the tank, I undid this and underneath, just hanging there, was a connector, I cleaned this , gave it a quick spray with contact cleaner, re attached in reverse order, and job done, back in for a cuppa in about 45 minutes. That was about two years ago and have not had a problem since (touch wood!!).
