I've the Touch pro system and the necessary ports in the central cubby, but my dealer is refusing to update the software for me, says there's no recall for it so they aren't obligated to do it.

Any advice on how I might get it done, can it be done at home?

Hi Peter,

You can do this yourself, using the car's WiFi connection. I checked mine soon after I got the WiFi in my 2017 X260 up & running. There weren't any updates available at the time - thanks for your post - I'll be checking again now!

Here's a link to the guide for doing it...

Software Updates | InControl | Jaguar UK

Good luck,

Jon

Thanks for that, but I'm pretty sure that is only applicable once the car software is first updated by the dealer.

Nevertheless, I'll give it a try later on.

At present, whenever I try to request an update via WiFi I'm told the car is up to date, which it is not

Did you ever get any further with this issue of updating the incontrol pro infotainment software? I know mine needs doing as well in my new to me 2016 XF (x260)

Has anyone successfully updated their touch pro system at home? Curious about the process and if it's doable.

So basically the issue is that it is too high of a risk and many dealers don't even want to do it anymore.
The guy that is GURU at this told me that he just changes the IMC with latest SW as it costs less and less risk is involved. So my suggestion is to be on a hunt for a scrapyard IMC and change it, programm it via SDD if it is 2016-2017 model or pathfinder if it is a later model.
