Gearbox and parkbreak fault

Featured Replies

Hi All!

I’m Sam, a new member here. Please I need a help. I got a Jaguar S-Type 2006 Diesel Automatic Transmission. It has  been displaying a dash warning of Gearbox and Parkbreak faulty.
When the car starts, it could drive for as long as I wish and pull very well with no concerns. But, once I turn off the ignition, it won’t start. Just the ignition would be on but the car won’t start. It might be down for 30 minutes before it will start.

I tried to check what could be the issue online and all gearbox symptoms I have come across, my car doesn’t have any.

Please, does anyone have an idea what could be the issue. As I don’t know if I should change the gearbox or it could be something that else.

Your prompt and professional response would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Sam.

Check your battery AND the connectors AND connection to the body.  I think most us have gone through this!
