Jaguar X Type 2007. Drivers window will only move up in small increments and the switch has to be operated exactly 8 times for each movement. Going down the window only moves in the same way but the switch has to be pushed only once. I have fitted a new switch panel and tried a reset but to no avail. Can anyone shed some light on this problem?  ....... Art

Have you checked window channels for wear and tear ???? - If they are a bit sticky talcum is good ??? do not use oil XXX

Hi Art---The only other thing I can put it down to is -- How good is your main battery is it 5 yrs old or over ???

Jaguars are really sensitive as far as the battery is concerned ???

Battery is brand new. Its a weird one Frank. Why the window moves up a bit exactly every 8 pulls on the switch is beyond me, Ive not come across anything quite like it before. 

I have exactly the same problem with both my front windows my 2008 XJ Sovereign. 
Did you manage to resolve it?

I’ve only recently purchased mine and will be looking into it.
