Undertray Part Numbers

Featured Replies

I have searched before posting but unable to locate the part numbers of the various undertray pieces.

I am missing the section that covers the engine & gearbox.

I have the front section and the L/H & R/H 'wings'.

Any assistance on these missing piece(s) would be appreciated.

2008 XF 2.7D.

Thanks Clive.

My vehicle is March 2008 built and I understand the missing trays are different in shape to what is shown in the link.

Will keep looking.

Thanks Jim.

Its weird that the 2008 cars do not appear in these catalogues, the reference numbers are not for my vehicle so back to the search....

My car is a on 2008 reg, but the V5 says 2010.

Hi Clive, perhaps your car has a "personal plate" attached from a previous owner? You can apparently decipher the Model Year, often different from the registration year, by checking the 10th character of the VIN. For newer cars the 10th character is a letter, not a number. You then need a VIN decode such as in the link below.

It's on a 2008 original plate. First registered 2009. But 2010 on V5C.

Hmmm, that's a strange one, but it would not be the first time DVLA have made an error. Don't quite get how a V5 would have been issued in 2008 / 2009 showing the car to be "first registered in 2010"? It might be worth a conversation with DVLA, they are actually quite helpful once you get past the initial stage, as these discrepancies might cause issues come sale time.

Might be worth checking the part numbers using this link.

It lists them by chassis number.

One possibility for the date discrepancy on your registration document is that the car was originally a Jaguar evaluation or engineering vehicle (mostly have a reg number that starts 'VX')

Thanks for the link, found the undertray part number.

Now to find one for a reasonable price....
