  1. Just to update, MD wants around 3.5K to change the chain etc.... Still hoping for some suggestions pls.....
  2. Good evening all, Looking for a Indy to replace the dreaded timing chain, prefer around South West England area... Its a 2017 with 70K on the clock. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Hi, So the 2008 XF 2.7 Diesel gearbox finally gave out, some smoke and then a gradual nothing from D. I assume its the TC. Planning to replace gearbox and an uprated TC. I think you can remove the gearbox and leave the engine inplace, is that correct? All suggestions or advice is welcome.
  4. So I fitted a new EGR ( LHS which I believe is B ) and for a couple of hours all worked fine. Yesterday car gave restricted performance with DSC so I plugged the lady in and the fault code is P045D, control circuit high. If you leave the car the fault disapears and works fine for around 60 seconds then reverts to restricted etc.... I've cleaned the connector. Where can I locate what and where the five wires are connected and what are the voltages? I assume there is a sequence depending on ignition on only and then with engine on? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Cheers.
  5. Its a stupid position, I charged the XF system yesterday lying on my back with the wheel turned to the max.
  6. Hi, Just a quick note to say finally joined the forum..... I have been busy rescuing XF diesel over the past 6 months, bought as a non runner etc.... Looking forward to asking questions 😉
