New to Jaguar - possible second/eighth hand purchase advice

Hello all. 

I'm Tim from Worcester. Had a Merc E55K for 12 years which I recently parted company with to save money, and am looking for a slightly less-stupid replacement.

I've seen an ad for a 2009 XF 3.0d S Portfolio. It claims FSH and MOT and service last month. 3 month warranty included. 

It looks to fit what I'm after - relatively inexpensive outlay, so I'll keep a bit aside for some jobs.  

My question to you knowledgeable folk is... it's on 169,000 miles. Far beyond my experience. The MOT advisories were minor, and seem to have always been so. Is it at the point of becoming troublesome in your opinion? The advert is pretty comprehensive as far as pictures and a video go. The dashboard has suffered sun damage, but I know a re-trimmer, and there are a couple of age related small marks/scuffs which I'm happy to deal with. 

Any advice would be much appreciated. 

(I don't know how (or if I should) attach a link to the ad, but the asking price is £2,400).

just make sure you have a good bank balance lol, mine has cost me a fortune this year and still having trouble and mine is a 15 reg 2.2 with only 67000mls
