Jaguar XF replacement DPF cost

Hi community.

Has anyone had the DPF replaced on a V8 3.0L, and if so, what was the cost please?

Hi Peter, a bit of confusion in your post methinks. If it's a V8, it would be a petrol car and not have a DPF. If it's a 3.0 litre, then it will be a diesel car, but a a V6!!!!

Jaguar used the v6  3litre in both petrol and diesel

I think you mean it's a V6 Diesel. Mine complained about a full DPF occasionally but the odd quick blast on a motorway usually cured it. Are you sure it's dead and doesn't just need a good drive? Even the owners manual says if you give it a constant 50-ish for a bit it cleans/resets itself.

I appreciate that Jaguar made a 3.0 litre in both petrol and diesel format, but I am pretty sure they never fitted a DPF, or an associated warning lamp, to the petrol option!

Mine had one. An old 2009 V6 3.0 Deisel. Even said so in the owner's guide which I can copy and post if needed. Definitely not fitted to V8's or petrol only which  are still very rare. Just give it a good cruise at around 50mph/70kph for half an hour. The fault might clear itself. If it doesn't you  might have big,expensive problems. Better to try simple cheap things first
