Hi

I am going to take the plunge and buy an XJ6 (1997). 32K miles and excellent condition. Terrified, as I have two family cars and plan to use this as a weekend sunny day out car.

I have checked out insurances and found the cheapest at £144 if less than 3000 mile PA. Also I have been advised that joining a Jaguar club reduces the cost. Would this include this club? Or do I need to get a membership number somewhere (please advise).

Big step for me, big car. Excited and at the same time worried about the upkeep costs.

Welcome Keith, £144 pa is a good quote, you would need to contact your insurance company and ask them

if your car has been looked after, been serviced regularly, hopefully should not encounter problems

enjoy, the forum..
