Hello all, I've had my Jag X type 2003 since May 7th,and been to south of France for our annual holiday; 2000 miles of briliant motoring, lots of passer by stoppings to look at the car one french lady explaining at great length about the big cat on the front of the car to her grandson; I have driven Merc E class varients over the last 15 years and a brief dabble with an MG ZT and no one has ever stopped to give any a second look.

Thanks for the reply Steve,

I wonder if you can help posted a problem, below, many views no replies not a criticism, just wonder if you have any ideas:-

recently after driving the car stopping the engine (well you would would'nt you) the front doors are locked and will not open with either front handle and the lock button is immovable. The rear doors are opening ok, the only way to get out is to lock the car again with the fob then unlock with the fob, get out quickly otherwise the car locks again then the alarm sounds. all a bit spooky, any body have any ideas what could cause this? I have greased the locks and oiled the mechanism.

Kind Regards

Kevin

Welcome Kevin, The lock problem sounds more electrical to me, have had the car recently serviced or any work carried out

before this started happening, if so could be the wiring needs checking, or try an auto electrician, someone else may have the answer

hope you get this problem resolved.

Another suggestion could be to google the problem as someone else may have suffered similar problem, enjoy the forum.

Thanks Al,

I have given the problem to the Jag dealers, they have never come across this before, and have serviced the car since registration. Lets see what they find.

Good luck Kevin, hope they get it resolved. biggrin.gif
