Hi every one i have just bought my first Jag S type, 3.0 v6 Auto, Been have some little trouble, I will be driving down the road and it will just die i have to keep unlocking it an reopening it till it starts, And some times park it up go out for an hour or so and it will tick over but wont start,

It Dont do it all the time just every now an then, I guess its the immobilser, Is there any way of sorting it out, At all, All help would be great. Cheers

sounds like the imobilser if you hasve to keep unlocking the doors. Perhaps the transponder is faulty?

You can get a new imobiser for around £90, but get the one with the transponder inside the key, not the push in the hole one.. they are a pain
