Hi Guys, anyone fitted hid bulbs to s if so any advice what to do or not to, also can you recommend a good kit , checked with my friendly m o t station he says no problems with mot, thanks.

However, a couple of things to be aware of...unless they are compatible with the Canbus electronic system of your vehicle then this can result in errors being generated in the system.

Also, the HID kit isn't really road legal as it cannot dip automatically when going over bumps/inclines and also if the weight distribution changes within the car and can lead to dazzling the oncoming traffic. Therefore, they shouldn't really go through the MOT test.

They do however, produce a lot better light and illuminate far better than halogen.

Thanks for replying Trevor, ive enquired at my mot place they have no probs with mot as long as they dont dazzle other cars, he aldo said he had fitted them to his xj6 and wouldnt be without them now so searching internet for best kit available, thanks mick.
