Hi All ,

Has anyone treated their pride and joy to the F1 ceramic coating system.I have read some reviews and it is supposed to make the car look stunning as well as adding protection to the paintwork. It is guaranteed for about 5 years, I was quoted £350 for my XF from a company in Southampton so it is not cheap . Has any one had this done ?

cheers Alan

I would consider having it done to a new car.  I have had my car detailed with a Paint protection product, and it has done the job, although I think that maybe I could have done the job just as well my self with a couple of hours each week hard work using other well known products.

I now just need a wash and rinse and a dry off and buff with a microfibre cloth.  I have an Indigo Blue car and muck can show on it.  But on a sunny day it does look great.

Hi . I purchased F1 ceramic coating £299 from dealer for 5 years incl internal carpets etc protect. Car just a week old but washed twice . Once just in water, once with shampoo. So far everyone comments on how lovely car looks but I guess the big test will be if it lasts for the 5 years guaranteed. I appreciate theres cheaper options and specialist detailing companies but was just easier for me to have dealer do it. Very happy so far. Loving my new Jag .

Welcome to the Club, Chris.

I have heard about ceramic coating, so it is interesting to hear from someone who has actually got it.  We paid £349 [big City Price] for Supa Guard last june, which is not bad, but lasts for 3 years, allegedly. So it is wait and see, too.

I am coming to Cumbria for my birthday in June, so look out for a shiny dark blue s type with an Jaguar Owners Club sticker from and rear.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi Chris and Welcome ,

I was quoted £350 in February for mine in Southampton,i will be interested to to see how yours go.I have seen a couple

of review videos of the finish and it looks very good indeed, how long did you have to leave the car with them for ?

cheers Alan

Thanks all for the welcome . I waited a week to collect the car from dealer , to be prepped, taxed , registered and pdi'd . They did the ceramic coating in that time so it was delivered to me ready .
