I know that this has been discussed before, but it happened to me again.  The car was washed, dried and polished, and I decided to treat myself with a bottle or three of Pedigree.  Up came "Parking Brake Fault."

 

Disengaging the battery resets the computer, and everything works OK when you have reconnected it after 10 minutes, other than you have to put back all your settings which is a pain.

 

However, when I came to get my well used spanners out none of them would fit.  Every single one of them was in imperial measure. Inches and fractions of inches.  

 

I was able to get two metric spanners, one 8mm and the other 10mm as the connections are of different sizes.  They are now taped to the battery.

    My Tivo Box has to reboot when things go funny.

     

    Why can't Jaguar put a reboot switch on the dashboard?

     

    I think it would be a good idea, but I suppose putting a manual locking system on the XJ and XF boots comes first!
