s type 2.7 diesil engine warning light

Featured Replies

hello every one, car as above engine  warning light came on yesterday now powering down, message said low engine pressure, jagutek in hull £35 plus vat to plug in and diagnose, is this a common fault cheers for any ideas

Welcome to the Club, Mark.

I have never had that one with my  2.7 diesel, but £35 is a cheaper diagnostic than the £69 I paid for "Engine Malfunction", which turned out to be the EGR Valve, and I was prompted to spend £30 on a diagnostic scanner, which will save money in the long run.

Regards,

Peter.

thanks pete feel better already,

Hi Mark,

Glad of that.  I take it that the problem is now sorted.

I don't know the cause of low pressure, although I have heard that the engine oil plays a part in keeping the right pressure up.

Regards,

Peter
