Feel free to fire away. Welcome aboard.

I doubt you'll ever buy another brand from now on. I know I won't!

You'll find a huge range of mixed emotions with owners over tyres. I won't fit anything other than BFGoodriche. My local does the 225/45 18's for between £95 & £100 each. The wet weather grip is simply astonishing. I went to them after owning a Supra 3.0 Turbo and I couldn't get the rear to slip out at all in the wet! Even by dumping the clutch mid- corner! Given that the previous tyres would get it sideways in a straight line in the dry before, I was converted instantly.

My last set got me 25k too.

As for insurance, I'm 40 with a clean record and full NCB and I pay £208 a year. Swift Cover are excellent and I will be returning to them this year at renewal. Try Go Compare or similar and see what you get. I found Adrian Flux to be quite dear in the past

Welcome to the Club, Gareth.

I was told when I got my first Jaguar that I would never drive another make.  It's true.

Regards,

Peter.

Hi and welcome,

Did you give us a try for insurance if so how did you get on?

Regards,

Dan.

AA came out a lot cheaper. Adrian Flux worked out at £600 AA £250... Easy choice even with a discount for being a Jag Owners member..

I've never found Adrian Flux to be cheaper. Normally quite a lot more expensive.

My renewal is due in July so I'll be a returning customer of Swiftcover.

I left them last year as I got 10 quid less at Autonet, but they have been horrendous! Customer service was shocking and they even cancelled my policy after a letter claiming I hadn't sent my licence to them. They then said it was my wifes licence they needed! They then wanted to return me £54 of the £171 I'd paid them only 20 days earlier claiming there were cancellation charges to pay!

Not being one to suffer fools easily they got both barrels from me and after 30 mins of debate they relented and gave me a fresh 12 months for no extra cost. Result. However, I was charged £64 extra when I bought the Jag. £35 of that was an administration fee!

After that fiasco, they'll never receive another penny from me!

Swiftcover were absolutely superb. For £10 I wish I'd stayed. Lesson learnt I suppose. With Swift I received excellent customer service, a cheap policy that I could manage in its totality online, and no admin charge when I changed cars.

I pay my insurance in full rather than DD, so in July it'll be another £190 well spent!

Welcome Gareth!! I've not long had mine either; the S-Type being my first too. Hope you enjoy the Jaguar experience as much as I do!!
