Thanks, guys, for the help in getting into a flat "batteried" XKR, I also have purchased a RSC612/RESC612 charger it all seemed a breeze, but once the engine started, I got and still I have a series of error symbols showing in the car display. They are an orange version of the parking brake called the Antilock Braking System fault, (description from XK Quick Start Guide), the DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) fault, and the "Engine Malfunction Detected". I can't find any "Malfunction Detected", or any problem with the Brakes. My first thought is that this is a fault light error brought about by the dead battery. If that were the case I would have suspected that there would be a general reset Button to press after a general Battery failure, but I can't find any reference to such a beast anywhere in the documentation so I suspect my diagnosis is totally incorrect. Any ideas on what is wrong? I can't believe I have developed faults in the hardware due to leaving the car idle to avoid the worst of the winter under a snuggly-lined waterproof cover.
As an aside,, the car was gleaming when introduced to the hibernation cover, but shortly after being exposed to the light again, some 6 weeks later it was drowned in what looks like half the Sahara Desert, and we are breathing that stuff, is it down to Donald!
Help again
