    Hi Andy, and welcome to the club. I tried several sites who supply original Jaguar parts when looking for noise muffling pads for the engine bay without success. I would suggest the yacht chandlers! Meanwhile, enjoy the S type, which is great car to drive. Regards, Peter.

    Chris, all petrol models, 2.5, 3.0, 4.0, 4.2 all have chains, only 2.7d has a belt which needs changing every 10 yrs or 105k. Enjoy your car with the knowledge that you don't have to mess with it. Suppose the benefits of chain is offset by the myther of changing the plugs in the left bank!!
