According to the Manual you will have to wait in excess of 10 mins before the electronic sensor will alllow you to read the oil level but after a visit to the dealer and asking a tech how they do it without the delay the level can be viewed imediately by following the steps below ... Pop the hood Select oil level by pressing the button on the end of the stalk several times Press "Cancel" twice on the steering wheel cruise control The display will now inform you of the current oil level Sorry, this posting should go onto the "tips page" but it wont provide me with a dialogue box for some reason

  4. Hi everyone! Has anyone else suffered faulty rain detection on an xf? Mine had to have a complete new screen fitted after only 4 days after taking delivery . Also , faulty headlight levelling motor , decided to carry on wirring away ...even after the car was switched off ... dealer fixed both issues but wondered if this is a common fault on XF Mod's
