X Type reversing sensors not working

would that knock out the reversing lights too? -
i have read a few of the posts about my reversing lights and sensors not working, I have replaced the switch on the top of the gearbox and they worked for a day then stopped again, i have checked the fuses and they were ok then . Is there anything that i have missed or am i being thick?
