I Thanks Peter. There is logic in that. I'm just wondering how far I would need to change electrics or engine management system,if at all, now. Maybe an engineer will say or perhaps even have had experience of it. Don.

I have been offered a very good example of a 2007 XJ 2.7 diesel. Only problem is that the engine is a write-off. Is it possible to fit the newer 3.0 Diesel engine as a replacement sorry if this is a daft question
