  1. I have a motorola TK30 and it works lovely, the display sits nice just under the centre vents and the mute/answer button on the steering wheel answers calls. can stream music to it too.
  2. Thanks Peter After a 2.5 T5 volvo S60 the jag should feel sluggish but it just feels lovely, the power is smooth rather than raw power. the good thing is that the bits that are ford mean that it's cheaper for parts. think the rear suspension setup is mondeo estate with mine being the estate. Nik
  3. I use a halfords three cycle carrier on mine, one part sits on the chrome trim on the bumper the other on the rear glass. It covers the lights bit i have a towbar so use a light board.
  4. Hi guys and Gals I'm new over here but not new to owners clubs. I got myself a 2005 X-Type estate as i needed a nice estate car to replace my Volvo. this thing is surprisingly good. I expected it to be a mondeo with a jag badge on, but boy was i wrong. it's 2.5 V6 has plenty of torque and put through the 5 speed manual box it drives lovely although a lazy big engine it just purrs (now its had new plugs and coil packs). only thing to get used to is the unforgiving clutch, as its AWD there's no traction lost if you catch the clutch wrong (usually you would just spin the wheels) so it either jumps off the line or stalls. a few niggles but some fixed, a huge thanks for the how to's as they have already been useful. I'm sure we will speak again. Nik
