  1. Hi Joe Tank you very much 20 psi is a lot but it makes sense . I will check with a gauge just to make sure it doesn't creep up. Thanks again Neil.
  2. Good morning, I have a 2004 3.0ltr V6 petrol S Type. On a journey home the top radiator hose blew off . And lost a lot of coolant . Lucky for me it did it on the main road just before my house then I pulled into my drive very quickly and shut it off. The Temp didn't go up from half way. So I let it cool and bleed the system putting orange coolant in it. Ive run it up to temperature a few times and the heater works well. (The clip on the top hose didn't look very good so I fitted an old style jubilee clip). All the hoses get hot and the coolant level seems to be staying the same . But when squeezing the top hose it seems rather firm. Can any one advise me at what the coolant pressure is on these engines as I am able to put a gauge on it , I believe the caps blow off at 14.5 PSI. I don't want to run it on a long journey to have the same happen and risk any damage to the engine. Please help. Thanks Neil.
