  1. Hi guys, if you have seen my post on new members, you will know that I took delivery of a 04 2.0 diesel x type on Monday past, I love car to bits and she is in superb condition.. I do have one small gremlin: On motorway on way back up home (M6) I put cruise control on and the drivers airbag warning light started flashing, then stayed on all the time. when we stopped for diesel the light went out and stayed out, but every now and then it still does the same, starts flashing and then stays on. I haven't used the cruise control again as I thought that may be a cause.... but seemingly not.. Is this a common thing??? Is it something that can just be left?, I hate having warning lights on my dash, no matter what it is. Is this the sensor on the airbag and if so what is the fix??? Sorry for the barrage of questions, any help would be greatly appreciated.. Raymond.
  2. Thanks Peter, Had her now since Monday and apart from the drivers airbag light coming on she runs so sweet and pulls lovely... I am in love again. raymond
  3. Hi peeps, I am currently awaiting to collect my 2004 X-Type 2.0d. Bought it from a guy in Leigh, Lancashire, and he has couple jobs & touch ups he wants to do to it. I've paid £1350 for it (was up at £2295, but I had a trade in) and its done 89000 miles. Full Jaguar dealer/and or jag specialist service history.......Sound investment????? I had a 2002 2.1 V6 x-type, couple years ago, absolutely loved it, but after the o/s/r wishbone collapsed while doing 50-60mph it really put a dent in my confidence in it and decided to sell it. Worst decision I ever made, when I watched her being driven away by the new owners, I really did have a heavy heart. Stilll regularly speak to the owners and they still love the car. So now it is time to have another, hopefully the right one, I just love the looks of the x type and this time I went for a little easier fuel consumption, although that has not really been a factor. I must admit I do love the colour f the one I'm getting (steel grey??) with half leather seats. Really pleased to join you guys (and girls), and I will apologise in advance for all the stupid questions that will undoubtedly appear. lol. Many thanks Raymond.
