  1. Great - thanks. I've been looking for a master cylinder online and from breakers, but haven't found one. I'm also concerned that using a used component will possibly not solve the problem, since I imagine it's just wear and tear......
  2. No loss of fluid though.... wouldn't a fault at a slave give me uneven braking, rather than a very soft pedal?
  3. My 1986 XJSC brake pedal travels excessively on very light pressure, even if engine is off. Pedal is firm on braking with greater pressure. Have replaced master cylinder seals. Any thoughts as to what else it might be (and where to source a master cylinder, if that's the answer!) Thanks
