I have seen these light up due to clipping a slippy surface, or losing traction on one wheel, or spinning up one wheel due to an enthusiastic departure. That type of stuff anyway. The sensor must see one wheel rotating differently to the other 3 and sends it as a fault due to pressure/circumference reduction. I don't know if that's exactly the technological description, but that sort of idea of fooling technology into thinking it's got an issue.

Whilst this is true for the type of TPMS system that uses the wheel speed sensors, The XE doesn't have this sort of system. It has actual pressure reading valves in each tyre.
The check all tyres message is very common this time of year as temperatures drop and so the pressure in all 4 tyres drops accordingly. You will probably find they are all down 2-4 PSI from the ideal, top them up!
