  1. Hi Steve Thanks for the last message. He informs me that yes it is likely to be a damaged cable which he could find quickly or could take an age. I have told him if he cannot find it in half a day to forget it and I will put it on ebay. Really not what I want but I have just had an even worse situation with my Mitsubishi L200 and dont feel inclined to waste any more money. So thank you very much for your help on this one but it looks like the scrap heap for my S type. Kind regards Trevor
  2. Hi Steve Thank you very much for replying to my sos. Yes he does have a good code reader and it is the throttle body that it says is at fault. He has been told by a guy who has '3' ( dead ) S types all with the same problem and is suggesting somewhere in the mass of wiring to the main is possibly a problem. Too much for me I'm afraid but I will send him the pdf you have kindly sent me and see what he can make of it. Thanks once again I am really grateful, I cannot bear the thought of it ending up on the scrap heap. Kind regards Trevor
  3. Hi I have just become a member and I have to be honest and give the real reason why. I have a Jaguar S type registered in 2000. This is my 2nd S type and it was a car I always wanted. The first was one was in mint condition with low mileage bought from a lady who was retiring from driving. Unfortunately even with low mileage things started to go wrong and I had to let it go. The second one was the next step up, leather seats cruise control etc everything original. It has still done less than 60000 miles. It has been in my local garage now for over a month as the guy has come to a dead with it. It was working perfectly and then I went out to start it one morning and it wouldnt because it wouldnt let itself start. Its all to do with the throtttle body/sensor. Anyway I desperately need some advice over this probelem. My garage is after a wiring diagram so he can check each of the wires as it does not seem to be the throttle body itself. If I cannot find a way to get it fixed it looks like a no reserve sale on ebay. Such a shame it is almost showroom condition. Help
